Winter Break Assignment: Part One

You are required to read chapters 11-19, 27-29 of Candide and take basic notes.

In order to assist you, your classmates, who have been assigned to research a chapter, will post their vocabulary, prior knowledge, background information and time period information about their chapter on this blog. The research must be posted by December 28th.

Rules for posting:

• write your name
• use proper and formal English
• follow proper grammar conventions
• do not repeat what others have written
• you may disagree what someone has posted if you have better information
• you may post multiple times
• post only under your chapter

Correct and informational posts that follow the rules will receive 100 points in classwork. See your homework rubric to define the grading policy.
