    Constantinople- The former name of Istanbul, from ad 330 until the capture of the city by the Turks in 1453.

    Constantinople- It was the capital of the Roman, Eastern Roman, Byzantine, Latin, and Ottoman Empires. Throughout most of the Middle Ages it was the largest and wealthiest city in Europe.
    Sultan- A title coming from the Arabic language meaning "strength", "authority", "rulership", and "dictatorship."
    Knights of Malta- They are the most important of all military orders.
    Venice- A city in Northern Italy known for its beautiful setting.
    Marseilles- It is the second largest city in France.
    Cortu- It is an island near Greece. Relates back to Greek history with symbols that relate to the water god Poseidon.
